The first week of December proved to be a great start to the Christmas season as our family participated in a few different activities that helped us remember that Christmas is indeed a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and His teachings to love one another.
On Wednesday Paul and his Cub Scout troop rang the Salvation Army Bell in front of Wal-mart. On Thursday Olivia and I made baby Jesus ornaments with the Activity Girls. On Friday our family attended a Festival of the Nativity where there was a beautiful display of almost 200 unique Nativity sets. Olivia played Silent Night and Away in a Manger on the piano there. Thinking back over the week, inspired me to take a photo of one of our own nativity ornaments.
I'm so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and for our Father in Heaven whose love for us is evident in His beautiful plan that leads us back to Him and gives us the opportunity to be with our families forever.
Merry Christmas!

I love this! It takes away all the hustle and bustle of Christmas and reminds me to be calm. My favorite thing to do around Christmas is right after the tree is up with the lights and ornaments are on, to lay under the tree and look at it while it's quiet in the house. Thanks for sharing your talent with me.
beautiful photo and beautiful thoughts! :) thank you for sharing! Rebecca
