During this somewhat tense situation (taking shelter during a tornado warning) I enjoyed the comic relief of just looking at my kids and I crammed into the downstairs bathroom w/ our essentials. Tornado warnings have been frequent this season so we pretty much have the routine down now.
I must mention how sad we are for those in Alabama and Joplin, MO (occuring after the date of this post) and the nearby areas that suffered much destruction and loss. My dad's family is from Joplin and it was a worrisome 12 or so hours waiting to get word of their safety.
So, I don't mean to make light of the situation, but I did think the kids looked cute and that the moment warranted me standing on the toilet taking a photo with my cell phone.
